The sell-out DT38 UK Golf Day 2025 was a great success on a scorching day in south Essex.
Organised by E13 Events and hosted by Langdon Hills Golf & Country Club, the fifth annual fundraiser on the greens and fairways of the popular course has been described as the “best one yet”.
Leading the event organisation brilliantly were Ian Morgan (E13 Events) and Terry Moncur (Langdon Hills Golf & Country Club).
Hammers and football icons supporting the day included Tony Cottee, Tony Gale, Stuart Slater, Dean Kiely, Alan Curbishley, George Parris, Marlon Harewood, Matt Upson, Jimmy Walker, Ray Houghton, Brian Dear, Paul Brush, Lee Hodges and Ev La Ronde.
The stars joined around 150 guests who had snapped up all tickets in just a few days.
Guests also included David Sullivan Jr, son of West Ham United FC Chairman David Sullivan and Taylor Tombides, the brother of Dylan Tombides, who had flown in from Canada just for the event.
This year was, once again, kindly sponsored by Rainham Industrial Services and First Response and prizes were awarded for the overall winners as well as “Nearest the Pin” and “Longest Drive”.
Temperatures peaked at around 30 degrees celsius and once the 18 holes were completed the players headed to the banqueting suite for a traditional cockney supper supplied by Tony’s Pie & Mash and entertainment.
There was a stirring address from DT38 Co-Founder Tracy Tombides who talked about the impact her late son Dylan Tombides continues to have through his legacy and future plans for the charity and an emotional tribute from DT38 UK Trustee and Dylan’s former agent Joe Sealey.
We then heard from David Sullivan Jr who explained why DT38 is so close to West Ham United FC.

Master of Ceremonies for the night, Tony Gale, then led a series of memorable discussions with the former Hammers players, who shared a collection of amusing tales on and off the pitch from days gone by.
There was also an auction with a selection of special and unique items on offer.
Overall the Golf Day raised around £19,000.
Tracy Tombides said: “I would like to say a huge thanks to Ian Morgan and Terry Moncur for all of the hard work they put in making this event such a success and to lead sponsors Rainham Industrial Services, First Response.
“Also to all former footballers who gave up their time to supper the event and the David Sullivan Jr.
“I would like to thank all guests who came along and to those who bought raffle tickets and who gave so generously.
“We’re still calculating the fundraising total and every penny raised will be spent supporting our work raising awareness of testicular cancer to help save men’s and boy’s live.
“Dylan loved golf, he played very often, and I know he was looking down with immense pride.”
Other companies supporting the event include NXTGen Enterprises and Tony’s Pie & Mash Events.
