West Ham United FC’s Ezra Mayers Becomes DT38 Ambassador

DT38 is proud to announce that West Ham United first-team defender Ezra Mayers has become an official Ambassador for the charity, continuing the club’s connection to the legacy of Dylan Tombides and the charity’s mission to save lives through education and awareness.

Ezra already has a special connection to DT38. In 2024 he was awarded the prestigious Dylan Tombides Award, presented annually to the outstanding young player at West Ham United FC who best embodies the dedication, humility and character that Dylan represented both on and off the pitch.

A composed and athletic defender, Ezra has progressed through West Ham United FC’s renowned pathway into senior football and is now a regular member of the club’s first-team squad. Known for his calmness on the ball, defensive intelligence and strong left foot, he has quickly established himself as an exciting young player within the Hammers’ senior setup.

During the 2025/26 season, Ezra has continued to gain valuable experience with the first-team squad, making appearances across competitions and contributing to the team with mature defensive performances. His continued development reflects the dedication and professionalism that led to him being recognised with the Dylan Tombides Award.

Now, by becoming a DT38 Ambassador, Ezra will help the DT38 spread its vital message about testicular cancer awareness.

Speaking about his new role, Ezra said:

“As a past winner of the Dylan Tombides Award, I’m so proud to have now become an Ambassador of DT38. The charity does such important work educating people about the risks of testicular cancer and the importance of self-checking to help save men’s and boy’s lives. And I’m so pleased to support the cause. Delay is deadly, get educated.”

DT38 Co-Founder Tracy Tombides welcomed Ezra to the charity’s ambassador team.

“We are absolutely delighted that Ezra has agreed to become a DT38 Ambassador. As a Dylan Tombides Award winner he already understands what Dylan stood for — courage, determination and teamwork. Ezra is a fantastic young player and role model, and we are incredibly grateful that he wants to help us spread our life-saving message to young men and boys.”

DT38 was established in memory of former West Ham United player Dylan Tombides, who tragically passed away from testicular cancer in 2014 at the age of just 20. Since then, the charity has worked tirelessly to educate young people about the disease and the importance of early detection through regular self-checking.

With Ezra Mayers joining DT38 as an Ambassador, the team continues to build a powerful network of supporters committed to ensuring Dylan’s legacy saves lives.

Delay is deadly. Get educated.
