Subbuteo Success
We were thrilled to attend the AFTA Australian Grand Prix 2019 dinner on January 18thto mark our new partnership with the Australian Table Football Association.
The annual table football tournament – this year held at Bondi – was one of the largest table football events ever staged in the region.
DT38 Australia Media & Communications Manager, Donna Guiffre was guest speaker and given the opportunity to present DT38 Foundation and our campaign to raise awareness of testicular cancer.
ATFA President, Adrian Connelly, was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 2018 and admitted he knew little about the disease beforehand.
He said: “I was shocked to find out how common testicular cancer is for young men and that the rate has been rising. The form of testicular cancer is typically found in men in their 20s and 30s so all males from the moment they become a young adult should become informed, be aware of their body, and most importantly take action if you think something may not be right.”
