We’re very proud to announce the team of people taking on the Dylan Tombides DT38km Challenge this September.
We are honouring the memory and legacy of Dylan in the tenth anniversary of his passing with this spectacular physical challenge based around the number 38.
Earlier this year we appealed to supporters of DT38 to create their own personal challenges using Dylan’s 38 shirt number as inspiration, and as always, you didn’t let us down.
In all 13 people signed up to the DT38km Challenge and they’ve either completed or are in the midst of finishing their challenges now.
From walking 38km, to running, to powerlifting, to counting steps, the challenges vary and we’re in awe of each person involved, their commitment to supporting our charity is second to none.
Of course, each of the nine individuals and the team of four are also raising important funds for DT38 while they do it.

“Dylan’s determination to train and play whilst he was being treated for testicular cancer is very important part of his legacy and so this physical challenge seems very appropriate in the tenth anniversary of his passing.
“He’ll be immensely proud of all of you, as am I. Thank you.”

Dylan captured hearts worldwide with his remarkable journey, from scoring for Australia in the 2011 Under-17 World Cup; to being diagnosed and making his senior debut for West Ham United while undergoing intensive chemotherapy treatment.
His resilience and spirit inspired many as he continued to shine on the field despite his health battles. Unfortunately, Dylan lost his brave battle with cancer in April 2014, but his legacy lives on through initiatives like DT38.
By participating in the Dylan Tombides DT38km Challenge, these folks are making a difference in the fight against testicular cancer, the most common form of cancer among boys and young men worldwide.
