DT38 is thrilled to announce an exciting new partnership with Moonrise Sports, giving football supporters the chance to own a truly unique piece of English football history while helping to raise awareness of testicular cancer and save lives.

This special collaboration centres around an incredible collection of original Football Association coaching memorabilia belonging to the legendary John Lyall. Even better, 75 per cent of every ticket sold will be donated directly to the DT38, helping us continue our mission of raising awareness of testicular cancer and encouraging men and boys to check themselves regularly, in memory of Dylan Tombides.

A Legendary Football Legacy

John Lyall’s place in English football history is firmly secured as one of the game’s most respected managers. Having served West Ham United with distinction for more than three decades as a player, coach and manager, he built a legacy founded on loyalty, integrity and success.

During his remarkable managerial career, Lyall guided West Ham United to FA Cup victories in 1975 and 1980, reached the European Cup Winners’ Cup Final in 1976, won promotion as Football League Second Division champions in 1980–81, and led the club to the Football League Cup Final in 1981.

Perhaps his most memorable achievement came during the unforgettable 1985–86 season, when his exciting young West Ham side – affectionately known as ‘The Boys of ’86’ – finished third in the old First Division, still the highest league finish in the club’s history. Playing an exhilarating brand of attacking football, Lyall’s team captured the imagination of supporters and featured club legends including Billy Bonds, Alvin Martin, Tony Cottee, Frank McAvennie and Ray Stewart.

Lyall later enjoyed further success with Ipswich Town, guiding the club to the Football League Second Division title in 1991–92 and securing promotion back to the top flight, further cementing his reputation as one of England’s finest football managers.

The memorabilia featured in this competition celebrates the career of a true football gentleman whose influence extended far beyond the touchline. This unique collection offers one lucky winner the opportunity to own genuine Football Association artefacts connected to one of the game’s most admired managers.
