Welcome to the DT38 Foundation July newsletter, Channel38.
This is where we bring together the latest news, events, support stories and developments at DT38.
It’s also an opportunity for us to share important information about the work we do to raise awareness of testicular cancer around schools and in communities as well as publicly offering our thanks to the many people who support us in our work.

From Russia With Love
After a few weeks of thrilling football, the FIFA World Cup 2018 is now over.
We had many connections with the tournament not least our support for England and Australia who were led by DT38 Patron Mile Jedinak.
Being drawn into an extremely tricky group, the Socceroos should be proud of how they represented the nation, they were very much in all three games and almost pulled off a result against eventual Champions France.
(Natalie Jedinak, wife of Mile Jedinak, supporting DT38 at Denmark v Australia, Samara Arena, June 21, 2018)
This exciting adventure will live long in the memory, as will Mile scoring twice, with his second penalty against Denmark hitting the back of the net on the 38thminute!
England under Gareth Southgate were simply outstanding. To reach the World Cup semi-final for the first time in 28 years with the youngest team in the tournament gives us all great hope for the future!
The Three Lions were in touching distance of the final and now the country believes again that one day soon…it will come home!
Ryan flying the flag for DT38
It gives us immense pride and pleasure to welcome Plymouth Argyle FC Defender Ryan Edwards as an Ambassador of DT38. Ryan battled testicular cancer earlier this year and is now doing very well following treatment. The 24-year-old Scouser is keen to support others going through the same ordeal and spread the word about the importance of checking your testicles on a regular basis.
Great to have you on-board Ryan
Jedinak goes the extra mile again for DT38
Just ahead of him flying out to the FIFA World Cup in Russia, we had the pleasure of catching up with our Patron and Australia Captain Mile Jedinak.
During the exclusive interview the midfielder told us about the pride and responsibility he feels as skipper of the Socceroos, the impact that passionate Aussie fans have on the players, the challenge ahead and much more.

High Fives Lads!
We would like to offer huge thanks to the lads and parents at IBIS Junior Football Club in Kendal, Lancashire, who’ve been raising funds for DT38 Foundation across their season. Their amazing efforts raised a fabulous £530 which we will use to raise awareness of testicular cancer and help teach young people about the importance of good health and well-being.
Romford Golf Club Raises £12,000 for DT38
We are extremely grateful to Romford Golf Club for hosting the DT38 Charity Golf Day on July 3rd.
Thank you to the all at the club including Club Captain John Fuller and everyone who came to support the event.
It was an amazing day and the £12,000 raised will go a long way to helping us continue to raise awareness of testicular cancer.
We rely and fundraising and good will and because of people and events like this we are able to run programmes such as our Literacy Programme for school children and our free testicular cancer scan events.
Running for DT38
We are extremely proud of and grateful to the DT38 team who ran the Virgin Sport London 10k (Westminster) on July 15.
