DT38 Foundation is delighted to announce YouTube presenter Jake Cox as a Youth Ambassador of DT38.
The 14-year-old internet host – who runs popular fan channel West Ham Unofficial – has pledged to support the charity through this platform which boasts 2,300 subscribers.
Jake’s first contact with DT38 came in 2021 when he invited our co-founders Tracy and Taylor Tombides and Trustee Joe Sealey onto his show for an interview.
The teenager – whose favourite Hammers player is DT38 Ambassador Declan Rice – was so impressed by our work and Dylan Tombides’ powerful legacy that he felt moved to get involved.
Following DT38’s initiative to invite members of the public to apply for Ambassador status, Jake got in touch.
“Dylan’s story inspires me in so many ways, it urges me to get the message out in the open, and ensure that if I can help someone, I do just that, and help save lives,” he said.
DT38 raises awareness of testicular cancer in memory of West Ham United FC forward Dylan, who lost his battle with the disease in 2014.
Jake added: “I believe different people becoming an Ambassador helps get the awareness out in the open in a more successful manner, to hopefully save somebody’s life by catching the cancer early.
“I am going to continue to raise awareness about DT38 on my YouTube channel by urging people to help in any way they can, and try and do as many fundraisers to help the cause as possible.”
