Team DT38 Raise Funds from Ultra X 12K in Tribute to Dylan Tombides
On Saturday 18th April 2026, supporters of DT38 came together for a deeply meaningful challenge — the Ultra X 12K, held at the stunning Cowdray Estate in the South Downs. More than just a run, the event marked the 12th anniversary of Dylan Tombides’ passing, bringing our community together in remembrance, unity and purpose.
DT38, the charity founded in Dylan’s memory, invited supporters to take part in this special event — turning miles into impact while continuing Dylan’s powerful legacy. Set against a beautiful, sunlit backdrop, the 12K course provided both a physical challenge and an opportunity to reflect on the importance of awareness and education around testicular cancer.
Among those taking part were Dylan’s former West Ham United FC coach Mark Phillips and Gareth Vidler who created the idea (both DT38 Ambassadors), Romy Chinery, Paul Magri and Jason Dormer, whose incredible efforts truly embodied the spirit of the day. Together, they raised an outstanding £2,202 for DT38, directly supporting the charity’s vital work in raising awareness and delivering potentially life-saving education.

Their run was more than just a personal achievement — it was a powerful tribute, driven by passion, commitment and heart. Every step taken across the South Downs contributed to a cause that continues to make a real difference.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Ultra X for their support in making this event possible, and to everyone who took part, donated or cheered from the sidelines.
On a date that holds such deep significance, this collective effort ensured that Dylan Tombides’ legacy continues to inspire and save lives.
