Welcome to the DT38 Foundation June newsletter, Channel38.
This is where we bring together all the very latest developments, events and support stories at DT38.
It’s also a chance for us to share important information about the work we do to raise awareness of testicular cancer around schools and in communities as well as publicly offering our thanks to the many people who support us in our endeavours.
Free Scans Down Under and a Challenge is Set!

We are delighted to team up, once again, with Ultrasound Services and Football West to offer free testicular cancer screenings in Western Australia.
The event will take place at Ultrasound Services Applecross on August 24, 2019 and is available for males aged 15-45.
Furthermore, if you play football at any level you have a chance to win a bag of amazing equipment for your club, thanks to the DT38 Australia Screening Challenge with Football West.
Each player that books a testicular cancer screening needs to mention which club they’re from and the club with the most registrations will win that pack of brilliant gear!
Of course, you don’t need to play football to secure your free screening, everyone who meets the age criteria is welcome.
An ultrasound screening involves a short scan to look for intratesticular masses. A radiologist report will then be sent to your GP with the results of the screening ultrasound.
So, to enter the DT38 Australia Screening Challenge by booking your screening register your place now by calling 9583 5199 or registering online at ultrasoundservices.com.au
Huge thanks to Duncan Hardy of Ultrasound Services and Football West for helping us with this event, which can save lives!
NPL Western Australia DT38 Awareness Round

For the first time, the NPL WA DT38 Awareness Round featured all six fixtures on June 22nd.
The event – in partnership with Football West – was created to raise awareness of DT38 Australia and the risks of testicular cancer.
For the first time Perth SC v Stirling Lions was streamed live on the DT38 Facebook page, the match finished with a 1-0 victory for the hosts.
At every match the team skippers and the referee entered the pitch wearing DT38 t-shirts and a banner was displayed before kick off.
A DT38 Ambassador conducted the toss and on the 38thminute in all grounds an emotional minute’s applause was observed by fans to remember Dylan Tombides.
At Perth SC v Stirling Lions – both former clubs of Dylan – all players warmed up in DT38 t-shirts and a trophy was presented, post match.
The week before the event DT38 Australia Media & Communications Manager Donna Giuffre featured in an interview with the NPL Wrap.
