Welcome to the DT38 November 2023 newsletter, Channel38.

It’s been another busy month for us at DT38 and we’re delighted to share some of the very latest developments, events and stories involving our charity.

It’s also a chance for us to pass on vital information about the work we do to raise awareness of testicular cancer around schools and in communities as well as publicly showing gratitude for the many people who support us in our work.

Men and boys: Remember to check yourselves on the first of every month, it could save your life!

DT38 White Collar Boxing Event – Picture Special

Awareness Below The Belt 5, was a knock out success!

The thrilling DT38 White Collar Boxing event took place on November 12th at York Hall in Bethnal Green.

With West Ham United having rounded off a win at home to Nottingham Forest, the crowds zoomed along the Central Line to descend on one of the world’s most prestigious boxing venues.

In total, 28 brilliant beginner boxers took to the ring to raise funds for DT38 in a series of thrilling three-round contests.

Everyone displayed bravery, a determination and passion, roared on by the audience, the atmosphere was electric.

NEW: DT38 Launches E-Calendar – A Timely Reminder

The new DT38 e-calendar uses technology to remind people to check themselves down under on the first of every month.

By signing up you are just a few clicks away from getting all the important DT38 dates you need automatically updated onto the calendar of your mobile phone, tablet or PC.

Tracy Tombides, Co-Founder of DT38, said: “We are very encouraged to see so many people signing up to our new scheme but I want to see more get involved.

“Our all new e-calendar is a great aid to remind people to check their testicles on the first of every month and it’s so easy to access, it could make all the difference.

“We also make sure that all key dates are in there for DT38, so subscribers have everything automatically updates on their phones and tablets and it’s completely free.

“There are only up-sides to our new e-calendar, so if you haven’t yet, I urge you to get involved.”

The innovation has primarily been introduced to enable more men and boys to check their testicles once a month, to pick up signs of anything unusual early on.

Tracy Urges to Men & Boys to Check Themselves Once a Month!

DT38 Co-Founder Tracy Tombides shared a very special message this month to encourage guys to get checking!

No-one understands the importance of checking your tackle on a regular basis more than Tracy.

She launched DT38 in memory of her beloved son Dylan Tombides in 2015, one year after he passed away from testicular cancer because he was denied a timely ultrasound scan.

One of DT38’s latest initiatives to promote monthly self checking is the launch of the E-Calendar which automatically sends a reminder to your smartphone calendar after sign up.

Tracy created a video this month dedicated to encouraging people to sign up to e-calendar which is free and easy to do on dt38.org.

It was the latest episode of our Check 1-Two campaign, which was launched to remind males to check their testicles on the first of every month.

The clip was shared on November 1st and every month on the first day we send out a message from a supporter or celebrity to help spread this vital information.

Did you know? Self-checking is simple, you can do it in bed, in the shower, on the couch or anywhere private, and it could save your life!

Early detection is so important when it comes to health issues such as testicular cancer and that’s why we’ll keep reminding you to get checking!

Keep an eye out for who’s going to make an appearance on December 1st.
