It’s been another busy month for us at DT38 and we’re delighted to share some of the very latest developments, events and stories involving our charity.
It’s also a chance for us to pass on vital information about the work we do to raise awareness of testicular cancer around schools and in communities as well as publicly showing gratitude for the many people who support us in our work.
Men and boys: Remember to check yourselves on the first of every month, it could save your life!
The Latest News & Stories – November 2021
Third DT38 White Collar Boxing Huge Success
Awareness Below The Belt 3.0 – our third annual White Collar Boxing day – was a huge success and raised vital funds to support our mission to raise awareness of testicular cancer.
The event, at London’s famous York Hall, was organised in partnership with Peacock White Collar Boxing and raising a whopping £12,382.36 for DT38 which will be used entirely to raise awareness of the disease which is the most common form of cancer amongst young men.
The stunning total was amassed from ticket sales, an auction, a raffle and sponsorship of the bouts.
The action inside the ring saw a group of novice boxers – who trained specifically for the event at Peacock Gym – go head to head in a series of exciting contests to win one of the coveted green belts.
Awareness Below the Belt took place on November 14th, Remembrance Sunday.
Huge thanks to all of the people who took part in the boxing, we are so grateful for your time, commitment and courage.
West Ham United icon and DT38 Ambassador Carlton Cole attended to present the belts to the winning competitors from each match with DT38 Co-Founder Taylor Tombides and Ambassador Mark Little.
His fellow professional boxer Colin McMillan was also present alongside serviceman Adam Somers who symbolized our great servicemen and women of past and present on Remembrance Sunday.
This is the second DT38 fundraising event in the UK since the lifting of Covid-19 social distancing restrictions earlier this year and we would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported it.
All the competitors, sponsors, donators, audience members and volunteers, we applaud you. Thank you!
We’d like to offer special thanks to Tony Liston and Dom Shepherd who helped make the day such a smash-hit success, once again.

An Important Message from West Ham Hero Stuart Slater
Big thanks to former Hammers players Stuart Slater who took the time to make a special video in support of our Check 1-Two campaign.
We launched the initiative to encourage men and boys to check their testicles on the first day of every month, just to make sure that everything feels as it should do.
Stuart is the latest in a stream of football stars and DT38 Ambassadors who have supported our cause by making films for Check 1-Two.
Thank you.

Picture of the Month
We’re very pleased to get a large amount of piccies each month and we also get some beauts from our own events.
So, we give ourselves the difficult job of picking a “Picture of the Month” and this time we’ve gone for this lovely image of Hammers fan Andrew Jeakings paying a visit to Dylan’s memorial statue outside HPF Park, the home ground of Perth Glory. Fantastic!
Andrew had a ticket for a match too, the game ended Glory 1-1 Adelaide United.
Sharing the Love
We are so grateful to more than 35,000 people who follow and support us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
Every month we receive so many shares, Retweets, likes and tags and we’re so grateful for each and every one of them, thank you.
And that brings to end this edition but we’ll be back with the next edition of Channel38 in December.
