Welcome to the first DT38 Foundation newsletter, Channel38.
This is the place where we bring together news of the latest events, support stories and developments at the charity.
It’s also an opportunity to share important information about our work to raise awareness of testicular cancer around schools and in communities at large.
We would like to begin by looking forward to 2018, which promises to be another fantastic year for DT38.
The amount of people who continue to support the Foundation by giving their time, energy, influence and donations means that we can continue to raise awareness to more people than ever about the risks of testicular cancer and the stigma surrounding men’s health issues.
Thank you.
DT38 Awareness Day
We are very proud to announce that with the fantastic support of West Ham United Football Club, we will be bringing you the fourth annual DT38 Awareness Day.
It will take place on the day of the West Ham United FC vs Manchester City FC Premier League match, at London Stadium, which is currently scheduled to take place on April 28, at 3pm, but is subject to change.
As soon as we have the official date and time we will confirm this along with other details about the day and how you can get involved.
Running for DT38
We are immensely proud of the many people who have taken part in organised races to raise funds and awareness for DT38.
We are delighted to confirm that we have been awarded 1 x place for the Virgin London Marathon on April 22, 2018, and 6 x spots in the Vitality London 10,000 on May 28, 2018.
If you would like to run for DT38 and take part in either of these races please get in touch Tracylee@dt38.org

Poker Night
We finished off 2017 with a full house at Crown Aspinalls London for the first-ever Charity Poker Tournament in aid of DT38 Foundation. Taking to the tables to help raise £14,600 on the night were Talksport host and Republic of Ireland star Tony Cascarino, World Series of Poker 2014 Champion Martin Jacobson and a host of fantastic and generous people.
We would like to extend our gratitude to the team at Crown Aspinalls London for their hard work and dedication on the night and to all who joined us to support this event.

Many Happy Returns!
We would like to wish a very Happy Birthday to two DT38 Ambassadors who are both one-year older in the month of January.
West Ham United’s defensive dynamo Declan Rice – a former winner of the Dylan Tombides Award – was 19 years-old on January 14 and fellow defender Giancarlo Gallifuoco of Dover Athletic FC turned 24 on January 12.

Picture of the Month
A new and regular feature on Channel38 is our Picture of the Month.
We are thrilled a huge number of pictures every year from supporters wearing your DT38 hats, t-shirts and scarves from wherever you are in the world at that time. It is great fun and we LOVE to share them so please keep posting them to our social media channels or tracylee@dt38.org
Every month we’ll pick the best of the bunch to show off to our thousands of followers on Channel38, so get snapping!
And here’s our first winner, George Benson, who struck this iconic pose in his DT38 Trucker Hat while on holiday in Lanzarote. Well played George.

And that brings to a close the first posting on Channel38, but we’ll be back with an update next month.
If you have helped DT38 in some way in recent times, please be sure to let us know so we can include it in one of our future newsletters. Contact tracylee@dt38.org or connect with us on Twitter Facebook or Instagram
