Running For DT38 in 2024

Taking on a marathon, half marathon or fun run can be a big challenge but knowing that each step you take is supporting a great cause can give you a brilliant boost during the toughest moments.

At DT38 we have been represented in races across the world from Toronto to London and we’re opening up an appeal for runners in 2024.

If you choose to run for DT38 this year, we’ll support you in your journey.

We’ll provide you with a gorgeous DT38 running pack, including a branded vest and trucker cap.

We’ll also support you on social media and share your progress and links to your fundraising page.

And we’ll gladly feature your achievement right here in Channel38, our official newsletter.

So, if you’re thinking of taking on a running challenge this year, then consider DT38 as your chosen charity.

You’ll be supporting our work raising awareness of testicular cancer, the most common form of the disease amongst young men in the world.

Once you’ve signed up to the race, please let us know tracylee@dt38.co.uk and we’ll get things moving.

They also invite us along and at one of the games we take centre stage for the day, giving us an important opportunity to raise awareness of testicular cancer and the importance of self-checking.

The fixtures have now been announced for 2024.

Henri Signs for DT38

We were thrilled to announce this month that Henri Lansbury has joined our team as a DT38 Ambassador.

The 33-year-old retired from football in 2023 having amassed 383 appearances across the 17 year career.

The midfielder has a very special connection to DT38.

He was at West Ham United at the same time as our very own Dylan Tombides and he has himself endured a battle with testicular cancer.

Henri is very keen to help DT38 raise awareness of the disease.

During his career Henri enjoyed spells at West Ham United, Arsenal, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Norwich and a number of other clubs.

He also represented England to Under 21 level.

In 2023, having decided to step away from the game, Henri began speaking publicly about his battle with testicular cancer.

You can read about it here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12701589/Henri-Lansbury-reveals-overcame-testicular-cancer-whilst-Nottingham-Forest-retired-star-discovered-lump-shower-training.html

We’re absolutely delighted to welcome you to the DT38 team Henri!

Paul Gilbert Reminds Men & Boys to Check Themselves Once a Month!

We were stoked when new DT38 Ambassador Paul Gilbert helped our Check 1-Two campaign this month.

Hammers fan Paul made this brilliant video which we gladly shared to remind you guys to check your testicles on the first day of every month.

It was the latest episode of our Check 1-Two campaign, which was launched in 2020 to encourage men and boys to take their testicular health into their own hands.

The clip was shared on New Year’s Day and every month on the first day we send out a message from a supporter or celebrity to help spread this vital information

In autumn 2023 we took Check 1-Two to the next level by launching the FREE DT38 E-Calendar which automatically sends a reminder to your smartphone calendar after sign up.

Did you know? Self-checking is simple, you can do it in bed, in the shower, on the couch or anywhere private, and it could save your life!

Early detection is so important when it comes to health issues such as testicular cancer and that’s why we’ll keep reminding you to get checking!

Keep an eye out for who’s going to make an appearance on February 1st.

DT38 Launches E-Calendar – A Timely Reminder

The new DT38 e-calendar uses technology to remind people to check themselves down under on the first of every month.

By signing up you are just a few clicks away from getting all the important DT38 dates you need automatically updated onto the calendar of your mobile phone, tablet or PC.

Tracy Tombides, Co-Founder of DT38, said: “We are very encouraged to see so many people signing up to our new scheme but I want to see more get involved.

“Our all new e-calendar is a great aid to remind people to check their testicles on the first of every month and it’s so easy to access, it could make all the difference.

“We also make sure that all key dates are in there for DT38, so subscribers have everything automatically updates on their phones and tablets and it’s completely free.

“There are only up-sides to our new e-calendar, so if you haven’t yet, I urge you to get involved.”

The innovation has primarily been introduced to enable more men and boys to check their testicles once a month, to pick up signs of anything unusual early on.

Here’s a reminder of the top benefits!

  • Includes monthly reminder to check your testicles
  • Automatically adds DT38 events to your mobile device calendar
  • Compatible with Apple, Google, Microsoft & many other digital calendars
